ALL STRAMATEL SCOREBOARD BATTERY CONTROL CONSOLES ARE DESIGNED TO BE KEPT ON CONSTANT TRICKLE CHARGE WHEN NOT IN USE, UNLESS MAINS OPERATED, TO KEEP THE BATTERIES IN OPTIMUM CONDITION. IF STRAMATEL SCORING UNITS ARE ONLY CONNECTED TO THE MAINS DURING OPERATION THIS WILL DRAIN THE BATTERIES AND THEY WILL THEN NOT RE-CHARGE PROPERLY, CAUSING UNIT FAILURE.

The various models allow for installation either as simple floor mount unit or above and behind backboards.
Backboard units should be mounted 30 - 50 cm above and behind the backboard to conform to Basketball Regulations.
